American Chopper -The Feud Between Paul Sr and Paul Jr. Continues
First off, I’m really late getting this posted, but knowing that this site has become one of the premiere sites for news on both OCC and PJD Designs, I knew I had to get something up today.
If you’ve been following the story of Paul Sr and Paul Jr you know that the big question for viewers has been whether or not Senior would attend Junior’s wedding. Short answer: he did not. He did receive and invitation, but he chose not to attend. For most families this would be a long term hurtful move but remember that Senior was not there emotionally during a lot of Paul Jr’s and Mikey’s childhoods so this must have been even more devastating for these guys as it would have been for someone who just recently got into and argument with their father.
So what about the fabrication side of the show?
PJD designs was tasked with building a quad while Jr went off on his honeymoon, and OCC Choppers built a bike for the National Fallen Heroes Memorial, taking cues from some of Paul Jr.’s previous theme bike work at OCC.
I was glad to see that Paul Jr kept the Discovery channel camera away from the wedding, as this is a private family affair, even though I’m sure it would have made for some great TV.
While Paul Sr skipped the wedding, Mikey was reached out to by his father and agreed to meet Sr at a local diner but ultimately stood him up. It never ends, does it?

OCC Lawless Drag Bike
Thursday’s episode of American Chopper: Senior vs Junior was by far the best yet. While Paul JR designs continue to work on both the Geico bike and the PJD Anti-Venom bike, OCC builds an electric drag bike for Lawless. The seventh episode of the season also contained the most footage of actual bike building so far which pleased me to no end. This show might have a future yet.
Of course the father against son drama continues to play out as Paul Jr discovers that Sr is actually trying to stop vendors from working with Paul Jr designs. While I’ll admit that I still don’t think that Paulie understands how much of his current success is a product of the momentum of OCC and American Chopper, Senior’s attempts to undermine him have now left a seriously bad taste in my mouth.
I’m also wondering if OCC vendors aren’t starting to consider jumping off this train before the wreck occurs and they regret being associated with Orange County Choppers at all.
Next week’s episode is going to be the season finale. Should make for some great TV as both shops show up at Sturgis.
