American Chopper -The Feud Between Paul Sr and Paul Jr. Continues
First off, I’m really late getting this posted, but knowing that this site has become one of the premiere sites for news on both OCC and PJD Designs, I knew I had to get something up today.
If you’ve been following the story of Paul Sr and Paul Jr you know that the big question for viewers has been whether or not Senior would attend Junior’s wedding. Short answer: he did not. He did receive and invitation, but he chose not to attend. For most families this would be a long term hurtful move but remember that Senior was not there emotionally during a lot of Paul Jr’s and Mikey’s childhoods so this must have been even more devastating for these guys as it would have been for someone who just recently got into and argument with their father.
So what about the fabrication side of the show?
PJD designs was tasked with building a quad while Jr went off on his honeymoon, and OCC Choppers built a bike for the National Fallen Heroes Memorial, taking cues from some of Paul Jr.’s previous theme bike work at OCC.
I was glad to see that Paul Jr kept the Discovery channel camera away from the wedding, as this is a private family affair, even though I’m sure it would have made for some great TV.
While Paul Sr skipped the wedding, Mikey was reached out to by his father and agreed to meet Sr at a local diner but ultimately stood him up. It never ends, does it?

hi, good day!!! i’m also a big fan of the teutels. but im still hoping that they will be together again as father and son team. i wish that they will mend their differences and be together again…thanks so much and God bless..
It’s difficult to watch what is unfolding and not feel that Sr. is a dork. If someone has been watching this and can not see an egomaniac and self important OCC chairman…Sr., than I would suggest that their not paying attention.
I’m not naive as to Jr’s egotism, that’s certainly apparent, but regarding bike building, and certainly designing, he is heads and shoulders above the idiot at OCC
you should look and think about what sr. had to work with when it comes to tools and where he built bikes to start it all. i build cabinets and my dad when he was alive told me that he wished he could do what i do but i allways told him that there’s bigger and better tools to do it with now days. jr. is good but he has a very big head and named the company after himself. occ stands for a company not one person. jr. would’nt be where he’s at if his dad would’nt have started it all. it’s just a shame whats going on because a father and son should be together and look at the good times and do there best to put aside the bad.
i agree, sr has his head in the clouds. he is no parent. no parent would do the things he has done to his kids. we all wish our kids better than we had. sr is just a bully. i hope with all the non payment of his building and all he has done that his show goes off the air it makes me sick to watch as he thinks he is in the rite.
If you say that Sr. was an absentee father, that is only partially true. He never left home. He drank exsessivly until Jr. was 10 then he quit. By Jr.’s own admission, Sr. never missed a game or event in any of the children’s lives after that. Paul Jr. is the oldest child. I see that Sr. had guilt over his early behavior and Jr. has taken advantage of that for a long time and is of great influence to the other two brother,s opinion of their father. Sr. says things he shouldn’t but his message to his son’s was clear, work hard and be responsible and you will suceed. I watch the show and see Jr. and Mike screwing around and absent much of the time except for the cameos during filming. Say what you want but I see two spoiled kids being childish and immature because Sr. finally got fed up and drew a line in the sand and stood up for his beliefs. While Sr. may not be the best father or bike builder he is an excellent example of the way children feed off their parents when they see a weak spot. If it wasn’t for his hard work building the Ironworks and letting Jr. help him design bikes, the show never would have started at all. I see Jr. as an ingrate when he is pushed to be responsible and show Sr. he can run the company on his own. Sr. was right to fire him and put him out on his own, as well as sue him and compete just as the rest of the businees world does. RIP GUS!!!
Hi Marty,
Finally I found somebody who can see things clearly. 99% of the people feel sorry for PJ and Mikey while they are just two disrespectful bread who think their dad owns them everything. They think that they are the ones responsible for OCC’s success. Nobody thinks why Discovery chose Paul sr and his OCC 10 years ago to do the show the first place. And Mikey was getting free ride along with the family’s success. Don’t even get me started on his paintings. What an insult to other artists. Who is he kidding?
Also, the thing I don’t understand is how blind is Paul jr? He finally works long hours for PJD since he is responsibe for the company. What does he think about his own work ethic before? Besides, he did not start the PJD from scratch. He had helps from the show and Discovery Channel. He should really go out ther cold and do something on his own. He said he would not allow his emplyee such as Odie to be disrespectful to him. What about himself when he was Paul sr’s employee.
I really hope some “friends” of Paul jr can point it ot to him one day. Don’t just keep feeding his ego.
100% true. i feel sorry for sr. i myself can see in his face that this stuff with his boys is getting to him. maybe he did drink a lot but he quit and started doing right and did a good job of it i think.
I just watched Odie get canned at pjd and then Odie went and lied to Paul Sr. To get his job back. What an ass and look how Paul Sr. Was adding to story for Odie. How stupid is that man P Sr. I can see why occ is going Into foreclosure. He ca n’t run a business
Having delt with a Narcistic parent all of my life I can certainly understand why Paul Jr. would avoid his father and not want to deal with his bully mentality.
Paul Senior is a true Narcistic Type A personality. If you have not dealt with someone especially a parent who is like that their is no way to understand just how evil and underhanded they can be. All of their negative thoughts and traits get projected onto others as you can see Paul Sr. do ranting about Paul all of the time.
The Bankruptcy thing is not the first for Paul Sr. Family and friends beware Paul Sr. will stop at nothing to accomplish what ever he intends to do. Paul Sr. ripped off his own family before using bankruptcy to accomplish it and will use it again to stiff Paul Jr. from his share in the company.
jr and mike went to work when they pleased,,,,,,,,,i would have fired a long time ago……
I believe Paul Sr. is a dry drunk. What a complete piece of dung this guy is. Constantly trying to ruin anything Paul Jr. does, also his sick mind has all these other knuckleheads so far up his butt its nuts. Look at how nasty they are towards Paul Jr. but would never say a word while he was there. DISFUNCTIOINAL
Not sure how things will end up with this family, but hope they can at least stay a family. I’m pretty sure it was Paul JR’s designs that kept people coming back to OCC to design bikes not Paul Sr. If you watched from the beginning you’d know that. I think it’s so funny how moost guys just talk about how he wasn’t involved in designing the bikes. A guy that has all the classic cars and motorcycles in bankruptcy is confusing to me. Seems like he’s putting everything he wants before the business and that’s not how you run a business. And the Odie issue I wouldn’t have hired that kid and I would’ve fired him long before he was. And to the people that say Paul and Mikey weren’t there a lot were you there to know for sure? I do wish both sides the best of luck in the future.
The bike build off – Discovery Channel made the contest too broad. The most popular bike builder won – Paul Jr Designs but the tally should have went as follows – Best Futuristic Bike – OCC Best theme Bike = PJD Best Tradtional Design = Jesse James
As for the feud, the boys need to grow up and make up with their Dad even if he made some mistakes he is still their dad. They are millionaires all becuase of Paul Sr’s insite, OCC and the Discovery Channell. Come on guys – just build bikes that’s what were all interested in.
I totally agree with Marty and a few others. Dad finally cleaned up his act, and now the two boys are punishing him. Dad still makes makes mistakes but hey, who doesn’t? You can see it’s breaking his heart not having his boys back in his life. It was a big mistake for dad not to go to Jr’s wedding and now Jr. decides not to go to grandma’s funeral. That’s sick! With them gone from OCC, Sr’s mellowed out a LOT and P jr. has finally started to grow up now that he’s having to walk in his dads shoes. Paul Jr. has had to do to his employees what his dad did to him, yet I doubt he’s made the connection. As for Mikey. Who knows where he’d be if it weren’t for his brother and dad supporting him. No wonder he became an alcoholic. I feel for him. The way I see it. Its time for the boys to put aside their petty issues, quit making excuses that dad this and dad that, and start looking at the positive side that he REALLY wants to mend the broken hearts. MAN UP Mike and Pjr. The ball is in YOUR court. Some day it may be YOUR kid(s) treating you like you are treating him. I’m not holding my breath that Mike will even get married much less have kids! He’s got too much baggage for a woman and I don’t mean his weight.
