How Much Can I Sell My Motorcycle For?

Sponsored Ads

Planning on selling your motorcycle but not sure how much you should sell it for? When it comes to determining the price of any vehicle, there are plenty of options to choose from in order to get an accurate listing price. The following information contains a few of the most widely used strategies.

Kelley Blue Book (KBB) is perhaps the most widely used tools that helps you figure out the selling or trade-in value of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and just about any other motorized vehicle that you can think of. You can use it to determine the price of your vehicle by selecting from many different options such as make, model, year, and many more.

The trade-in value and the private sale value are the two different values that you can choose from when determining the current value of your motorcycle. If you’re selling your motorcycle on your own, then you’ll want to use the private sale value, otherwise, if you’re trading your bike in for another, then you’ll want to use the trade-in value.

You can also compare your motorcycle to others that are listed for sale in the many different resources that are used for selling vehicles and other items. There are a lot of different tools that you can search through which include newspapers, classified ads, print magazines, and even the used inventory that motorcycle dealerships have.

Finally, if you have a collector item for sale and want to find out how much it is worth, you can have an appraisal done by an appraiser. Doing so will help you get a ball park price of what your collector or custom bike is worth.

There are plenty of great options that you have for determining the right price to use when selling your motorcycle so you can be confident about the selling price that you have when listing your motorcycle for sale. When your selling your motorcycle, or any vehicle for that matter, make sure you get the most money for the vehicle that you are selling by using one of these effective methods.

Q&A: Who insures custom motorcycles?

Sponsored Ads

Question by jason j: Who insures custom motorcycles?
I really need some help. I’ve just purchased a custom chopper, basically a kit bike–and I can’t find anyone to insure it for a reasonable price. Most won’t even give me a quote. Progressive wanted $ 3600 a year. The bike is valued at $ 16,000.00 and I live in Louisiana if that helps.

I built a custom bike and I have MSO. Does anyone know how I can get a VIN number?

Question by dniemi3: I built a custom bike and I have MSO. Does anyone know how I can get a VIN number?
If it’s a custom build and I’m not a manufacture, then I can only have 1 a lifetime and not sell it for 5 years. I was hoping to get a vin or whatever is needed so it’s like OCC choppers or someone built it and it can be sold whenever, and I can build another if I want. I haven’t registered it yet or anything.
I live in WA state.

you willl have to go apply for a title. You usually need all receipts from all your parts, and then they tax you on your value. Most states do a inspection and issue a vin number after. Call motor vehicles in your state and they will tell you what you need ! Look up your DMV for your state and how to title and that will answer your question .

Scottoiler eSystem Product Review (Electronic Chain Oiler) – American Chopper Parody

Sponsored Ads
The Two Wheels 2 Anywhere team review the Scottoiler chain lubrication system. During the install however, things take a sudden turn when the boys find themselves mysteriously possessed by the ghosts of the late hit TV show American Chopper. Pete and the rest of the team better start scrambling when they end up at the mercy of Moto Mike — or is it Moto Mike…? In an explosive homage to the often angry custom bike builers that had everyone talking, the guys at TW2A take on the roles of Paul Teutul Sr and Paul Jr with an eerie accuracy and bring us a treasured piece of those father & son fights and brawls we have come to love and cherish. The boss (Moto Mike) gets mad and starts throwing his weight around (as well as other objects) in a flash of rage when he arrives to check on progress for a customer’s bike. The Scottoiler chain lubrication system is a welcome friend to many chain-driven motorcycles. Without this system, road dirt tends to adhere to the chain oil, which forms a grinding paste that increases friction of the chain and accelerates wear. The motion-sensitive e-system mitigates this situation by cleaning and lubricating the chain while the engine is on. The rider has the option of adjusting the flow-rate according to riding conditions, and the included resevouir holds enough oil for about 500 miles.
