Choppers At Thunder In The Valley
Well once again I took my camera on a trip to Johnstown and got so caught up at the sheer spectacle of it all that I forgot to take many photos of choppers. Oddly enough, in spite of a record crowd there were very few true custom bikes in attendance at all, and I did not in my short time there even see any builders with displays. Most of the bikers in attendance were riding touring bikes, quite a switch from when I first started attending this event back in 2005 and it seemed that everywhere you turn, there were custom bikes.
I did manage to spot one lone chopper sitting by itself from Death Row Choppers. Maybe if we had stayed longer I would have gotten few more pics, but as I cruised the sidewalks I really didn’t see much worth photographing.

New KN Kone Engine
Just happen to be on Guilty Customs blog and I caught this post http://www.guiltycustoms.com/blog/2010/06/17/kn-kone-engine/
This is a new Retro engine coming out in August. Builders of choppers, take note.
Who’s Your Favorite Chopper Builder?
OK we get about three hundred visitors a day to this site, so I figure that’s enough to start gathering some visitor opinion. A few months ago I wrote an article for Ezine articles on the my top ten custom motorcycle builders. You can read that here: http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Top-Ten-Custom-Motorcycle-Builders&id=3401347
Now I want you the readers, to give me your top custom chopper builders. Who do think is the best? West Coast Choppers, Billy Lane, Flyrite Choppers, OCC? Let me know who the best chopper builders are.
If I learn of some new builders that I’ve never heard of, I’ll do a feature post on them right here on the blog.
Now I only have one rule. You must do more than just name names. I want to know why you think they’re the best. Give me your answer in the comments section. All comments must be manually approved by me, so don’t get in a tizzy if it doesn’t appear right away.
Thanks for the input.
Scott

FlyRite Choppers
Been meaning to do a post on Flyrite Choppers for some time now. I know someone will have something say considering the backlash I received over my choppers vs bobbers post but I can take it.
OK, they call them “Choppers”, and I’m not going to argue the point. Let’s face it. I love these freaking bikes. I ranted over these bikes ad nauseum on my other sites, so why not here? I like the way they build them, and I like the fact that you can basically design your own.
Oh yeah and the whole Texas thing. Gotta love anything from Texas; most reasonable state in the union.
You have to check them out: FlyRite Choppers
These are actually the most sought after bikes on the internet after OCC. Unfortunately I have to respect thier copyright notices and not post any photos of the bikes, but you can check them out for yourself.
