@TheJerryg1973 Thanks, look me up on facebook and i’ll explain to you where i cut them. i’m message you with my details so you can find me. did sound nice but was a bit annoying on long journeys.
That is beautiful. I just bought an 85 Rebel 250 for my first bike…probably only bike, as i am short and this bike fits me better than all the others out there. How far back did you cut your pipes? That is definatly an awesome rumble from that bike. PLEASE post more videos when you build more.
@Bastett84 Standard pipes, just cut them. If you want to do it I can send you the details of where to cut but it is best to change the jets at the same time.
Can’t do this to my own rebel, all that stuff in the back you lose, I actually need, like a second passenger seat, to haul groceries on. I suppose if I kept coming straight up with the rear fender support, and made a U at the top and back down, I could then slip my motorcycle duffle bag over it and have it sit on the rear fender. With such a dufflebag and a bookbag over the gas tank, I can carry a lot of groceries, and if I’m not joyriding, I’m fetching groceries.
I like your bobbed version of the Rebel the best, simply because so much of it is left stock or re-used stock parts, but you could never tell, because the red paint jobs and flame tricks the eye. Just finished rebuilding mine 25 year old rebel from the ground up; if I built a second I’d do it this way. Are those stock handlebars even? Looks like other than all the painting work & chopping the exhaust, you just swapped the rear fender & light, seat, and air breather.
@spunky0113 Just went to a caravan and trailer shop, this is a standard trailer mudguard cut down a bit, cost about £15 you can get them on e-bay too, if you get one you’ll need a wider tyre at the rear to fill it up though, then you’ll need to cut the chain guard (or chuck it away) to stop the tyre rubbing.
how have you removed the air filter box?? because I don’t know how to put it up from my 125 rebel thanks for a quick answer and by the way, your bike looks amazing, whant that same one!!!
now thats a sick ride!
Nice.
@HarleyMCfan Thanks.

Nice work, Where did you get the rear fender from?
sweet 125! did you build that for your wife / girlfriend?
Love the sound of the exaust for such a small motor
I just undid the bolts and ripped it out, it’s really fiddly but just hit it with a hammer a few times and it’ll come out.
